1909 Australasian Wireless Limited is established by Telefunken to market the new technology of wireless.

1913 AWL merges with local Marconi business to form Amalgamated Wireless Australasia Limited - AWA

Intervening Years
AWA develops as a technology conglomerate becoming an icon of Australian Business.

1982 AWA establishes its own Information Technology Service business division.

2000 The "old" AWA is taken over by Jupiters and then by Tabcorp.

2004 AWA becomes an independent Australian owned company again!
All of its staff and major customers move across to the "new AWA".
